O. Semple Sam Goldring, 94, succumbed to an attack of flu Monday morning at ten o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. O. Semple, with whom he had made his home for the past nine years. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Alwin Stokes at the parlors of Winnfield Funeral Home, and interment was made in the local cemetery Monday afternoon at four thirty o'clock. The deceased was born in Bury, St. Edwards, England, and on coming to the United States made his home with family of T. O. Semple moved to Winnfield and nine years ago when Mr. and Mrs. Semple moved to Winnfield he came with them to make his home. His only known relative in recent years was a sister who died in England in January 1933.
