Last Rites Held For Armond Gongre Near Montgomery

Armond Gongre, 79, died at the home of his grandson, Edward Gongre, at
Montgomery, Feb. 23, 1945, after a short illness.  Funeral services were held
at the Old River Cemetery with the Rev. Carptor of Campti officiating.

The deceased is survived by eight children; 30 grandchildren and 20 great
grandchildren; and a brother.

The sons and daughters are Mrs. W. C. Sutton, Bermuda, La., Mrs. Gilmer
Lestage, Montgomery, Mrs. Monroe Johnson, Natchitoches, Woody Gongre,
Clarence, Louis Gongre, Orange, Texas, Ray, Walter, and Keator Gongre,
Natchitoches.
