Brother of Area Residents Dies In Natchitoches

Walter Gongre, 79, of Natchitoches, died at 8:20 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 1972
in Natchitoches Parish Hospital.  He was a Natchitoches merchant.

He is survived by four brothers, Roy Gongre of Natchitoches, Woody Gongre of
Clarence, Clator Gongre of Montgomery, and Lewis Gongre of Orange, Texas;
three sisters, Mrs. Monroe Johnson of Natchitoches, Mrs. W. C. Sutton of
Bossier City, and Mrs. Nora Lestage of Montgomery, and a number of nieces and
nephews.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Immaculate Conception
Catholic Church with Rev. John Cunningham officiating.  Burial was in the
American Cemetery in Natchitoches.
