The Rev. C. D. Bates officiated, assisted by W. F. Harrell. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mr. Goodeaux died at noon Thursday, January 6, 1972 in the Winnfield General Hospital after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lethia Goodeaux of Winnfield; two sons, George Goodeaux and Addless Goodeaux, both of Winnfield; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Sutton and Mrs. Betty Pepper, both of Texas City, Texas; two brothers, Alex Goodeaux of Longville and Adam Goodeaux of Opelousas; three sisters, Miss Eva Goodeaux and Miss Lovine Goodeaux, both of Arnaudville, Mrs. Mary Andress of Bay City, Mich.; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers included James Goodeaux, Adam Goodeaux, Jr., Isaac Goodeaux, Bob Grice, Harold Arnaud, Arthur Lee Edwards.
