Funeral Services For G. H. Gorham Held On July 5

Funeral services for George Henry Gorham, 28, native and lifelong resident of
Winn Parish, were held at the East Winnfield Baptist Church at 10 a.m.
Wednesday, July 5, with the Rev. H. J. Mott officiating.  Burial was in the
Gorham Cemetery under direction of Hixson Funeral Home.

Mr. Gorham, who was born in Winnfield July 10, 1902, died suddenly at his home
at 9 p.m. Saturday, July 1.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Jessie Lee Gorham; four sons, Garland, Curtis
Lee, and Donald Wayne of Winnfield, and Ottis of Chicago; three daughters,
Mrs. Pauline Roberts of Houston, Mrs. Alma Jean Thompson of Bastrop, and
Dorothy Lee Gorham of Winnfield; two sisters, Miss Ruth Gorham of Winnfield
and Mrs. Thelma Scott of Natchitoches; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Gorham
of Winnfield.

Pallbearers were M. J. Foster, Ed Ellard, C. E. Gorham, Sr., H. E. Gorham,
J. P. Davidson, and E. C. Eyer.
