Armitten Gorham Died Saturday In Shreveport

Funeral services for Armitten R. Gorham, 52, a native of Winnfield, who died
in Shreveport last Friday after a brief illness, were held in Shreveport,
Saturday.  Burial was in Centuries Memorial Park.

Mr. Gorham had worked in the Shreveport post office for 30 years and had
served as superintendent of the Queensboro branch station for the past 13
years.  He was an active member of Ingleside Baptist Church and Postal
Supervisors Assn., and the West Shreveport Lions Club.

Survivors include his widow; one son, Robert E. Gorham, one daughter, Mrs.
Bernard Callendar, Natchez, Miss.; three brothers, Aaron, Bobby, and W. G.,
all of Winnfield; one sister, Mrs. Otis Davis of Winnfield; one grandchild,
and a number of nieces and nephews.
