Gordon Rites Held Sunday In Winnfield

Hubert W. "Alec" Gordon, 47, died Saturday, August 31, at a Shreveport
hospital, following a short illness.  He was a taxi cab driver in Winnfield. 
Born in Wyatt, Gordon spent most of his life in the Winnfield area.

He is survived by one son, Mickey Gordon of Winnfield; two daughters, Mrs.
Charlene Maines of Goldonna and Rhonda Gale Gordon of Winnfield; three
brothers, Clifford of Winnfield, Raymond of Hammond, and G. L. Gordon of
Leesville; two sisters, Mrs. George Honeycutt of New Orleans and Mrs. Glenn
Rocek of Waseca, Minn.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Southern Funeral
Home, Rev. C. C. Martin officiating, assisted by Rev. Wilmer Jordan.  Intermit
was in the Winnfield Cemetery.
