J. A. Graham Buried In St. Maurice Tuesday Afternoon

Former Winnfield Citizen And Merchant Dies In Shreveport

Funeral services for J. A. Graham, about 57 years of age, who died Sunday
night in Shreveport, where he has been a resident for a number of years, were
held in St. Maurice Tuesday afternoon, January 11th.

Mr. Graham was born and reared in the St. Maurice Community.  He came to
Winnfield where he engaged in the mercantile business for many years.  Because
of ill health, he sold his mercantile business here several years ago, and
moved to Shreveport with his family, where he engaged in selling insurance,
and where his health improved considerably until lately.

The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ina Shumate Graham, and the
following children, William, Gloria, and Jewel, of Shreveport; and the
following children by a former marriage, Ena Lee of Florida, Elsie Gladys and
John Tom, of Shreveport.

The bereaved family have the sympathy of their many Winnfield friends.
