Father Of Local Residents Dies; Rites At Echo

Sam Grantadams, 65, of Echo, died in a hospital here at 5:30 p.m. Monday,
October 18, 1971.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lorine L. Grantadams of Echo; three sons,
Herman Grantadams of Echo, Lee Grantadams and Russell Grantadams, both of
Winnfield; four daughters, Mrs. Landry Lacombe of Echo, Mrs. Carl Morris of
Houston, Texas, Mrs. Allen Lacombe of Echo, and Mrs. Ronald Roe of Echo; one
brother, Amadie Grantadams of Fifth Ward; five sisters, Mrs. Polite Vead of
Echo, Mrs. Philbert Knoll of Alexandria, Mrs. Louis Knoll of Echo, Mrs. Thomas
Dufour of New Orleans, and Mrs. Paul Bordelon of Marksville; 20 grandchildren,
and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Francis de Sales
Catholic Church at Echo.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Rosary will
be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel.
