All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: March 5, 1959 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Mrs. Maude Gray Dies; Funeral Services Friday Mrs. Maude Sholars Gray, 74, native and lifelong resident of Winn Parish died about midnight Wednesday at her home at 418 West Main in Winnfield. She had been in ill health for some time. The body is at Southern Funeral Home, with funeral services to be Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. C. C. Martin, pastor of Laurel Heights Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Winnfield Cemetery. Mrs. Gray, a former nurse here for over 20 years, was born in Winn Parish, west of Dodson, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Sholars. She was a member of the Laurel Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, John D. Gray of Winnfield, a native of Union Parish; four brothers, Oren Sholars of Dubach, Bryant Sholars and Louis Sholars of Winnfield, and Randle Sholars of Edna, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. A. E. Raywinkle of Shreveport, Mrs. G. M. Walsworth of Winnfield, and Mrs. Irene Brown of Baton Rouge.
