Former Hebron Native Dies In Galveston, Texas

Benjamin F. Gregory, 37, of Galveston, Texas, formerly of Caldwell Parish and
the Hebron community, died last Wednesday morning in a Galveston hospital
following a long illness.

Funeral services were held Friday at 2 p.m. at Hebron Baptist Church with the
Rev. Virgil Jones and Rev. Tom Parker officiating.  Burial was at the Hebron
Cemetery.

Mr. Gretory was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 48 at
Galveston.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Hazel Gregory of Galveston; one 
stepdaughter, Mrs. J. R. Smith of Independence, Mo.; his mother, Mrs. Carrie
Gregory of Grayson; five sisters, Mrs. Lois McCarty of Sikes, Mrs. Lazelle
Rozena of Brighton, Mich., Mrs. Audry Cruse of Denham Springs, Mrs. Marie
Haddox of Columbia, Mrs. Opal McAlpin, Stone Mountain, Ga., and three 
brothers, Clayton Gregory of Ruston, Belton and Elton Gregory of Sun Valley,
Calif.

Nephews were pallbearers.
