Mrs. Della Griffin To Be Buried At Pleasant Hill Fri.

Funeral services for Mrs. Della Griffin, 69, who died at her home on the Olla
highway at 5 a.m. Wednesday, will be held at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church
of which she was a member, some time Friday.  Rev. Harrison Cockerham and Rev.
Willie Broadway will officiate.

She had been a resident of that community for the past 20 years.

Surviving are two sons, Jim and Joseph Griffin of Rt. 2, Winnfield; two
daughters, Miss Bessie Iresa Griffin, Washington, D. C., and Mrs. Gladys Hill,
Coolidge, Ariz.; two stepsons, Lee Griffin, Morgan City, and Charlie Griffin,
Cotter, Ark.; and one grandchild.

She also leaves a number of half brothers and sisters: A. L. and Harvey
Shirley, Mrs. E. V. Blair, Mrs. Sam Dunn and Mrs. Mildred Thornton, all of
Winnfield; Chris Shirley, Coushatta, Birl Shirley, Columbia, Cas Shirley,
Crain, Texas, Ernest Shirley, Baton Rouge, Mrs. Myrtle McLamore, Baton Rouge.
