Last Rites For Andrew J. Griffin Held Saturday

Andrew J. Griffin, 86, a retired farmer, died Friday, August 13, 1965 in a
local nursing home after a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Saturday in Selma Methodist Church at
Georgetown with the Rev. D. Beille officiating.

Burial was in Starks Cemetery near Georgetown under the direction of Hixson
Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Mr. Griffin was a native of Alabama.

Survivors are his widow; two sons, Willie F. and Hubert Roy Griffin, both of
Springhill; five daughters, Mrs. Zelma Ussery, Mrs. Ollie Barrett, and Mrs.
Joe Ann Corley, all of Georgetown, Mrs. Jessie Mobley of Springhill, and Mrs.
Annie Cruse of Kelly; 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
