M. Grice, 85, who died at her home on the Tullos highway Wednesday morning, Oct. 8, 1952 after an illness of many months. Rites were conducted by the Rev. E. B. Barton, assisted by the Rev. Louis B. Williams, and interment was in the old Union Cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Harmon Porter, Hezzikiah Porter, Parker Long, Sr., Max Allen, W. P. Shows, and Ernest Vines. A native of Winn Parish, Mrs. Grice had made her home on the Tullos highway for more than 50 years. She was Miss Sarah Wright before her marriage to the late Rev. W. M. Grice, and was widely known as "Aunt Sally". Mrs. Grice was a member of the Old Union Church. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. W. S. Dunn, Mrs. T. P. Ingles, Mrs. Otis Wood and Mrs. J. I, Porter, all of Route Two, Winnfield; two sons, Oscar Grice of Slidell and Arthur Grice of Joyce; 25 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. A third son, Earl Grice, preceded her in death.
