Last Rites For Mrs. Matilda Grice Held April 26th

Mrs. Matilda Grice, a lifelong resident of Winn Parish, died after a few weeks
illness at the home of her niece, Mrs. Thomas Ingles, Thursday, April 25th. 
The last rites were conducted at Pleasant Hill, Friday afternoon, by the Rev.
Wilson of Columbia, and Rev. J. A. Cockerham of Winnfield, in charge of the
services.

Acting as pallbearers were Tho. Allen, a grandson, and five nephews, Arthur,
Edward, and Carroll Grive, William Lang, and Cortez Porter.

Mrs. Grice was the widow of the late Henry Grice and the mother of nine
children, three of whom survive.  They are Mrs. Joe Allen, Mrs. J. F. Scott,
and Miss Ola Grice, all of Winnfield.  She also leaves one sister, Mrs. W. M.
Grice of Winnfield, Route 2.
