Last Rites For Albert M. Griffin Held July 11, 1948

Albert M. Griffin, 78, died at his home in the Bethlehem Community near
Calvin, July 10, 1948, after a few days illness.  He had been in ill health
for some time.

Funeral services were conducted at the Bethlehem Baptist Church July 11, with
the Rev. Hancock of Sikes and the Rev. Gorham of Winnfield officiating. 
Burial was in the Bethlehem Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.

Mr. Griffin was reared on a Winn Parish farm, where he spent his entire life. 
He was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Annie Carter Griffin; four sons and two 
daughters, Bill, Ellis, Odie Griffin of Route 4, Winnfield; Lee of Rt. 1,
Goldonna; Mrs. Myrtle Hodges, Rt. 4, Winnfield and Mrs. Mattie Higgs, Rt. 1,
Dodson.  He also leaves a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
