Louis Griffin, Father of Local Resident, Dies

Louis Griffin, 58, of 60 14th Street, Alexandria, died at 4:05 a.m. Sunday in
an Alexandria nursing home.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gladys Griffin of Alexandria; a son, Louis
Benjamin; daughters, Mrs. Jean Gray of Trout, Mrs. Ella May Elton Hunnicutt of
Crossett, Ark., and Mrs. Patricia Thomas of Winnfield; one brother, G. W.
Griffin of Urania; three sisters, Mrs. Ollie Mae Evans of Tullos, Mrs. Ruth
Furlow of Alexandria, and Mrs. Evelyn Joy of Jena and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of First National
with Rev. Ora Youngblood officiating.  Burial was in Dry Prong Cemetery.
