Grigsby, Former Winn Resident, Dies Funeral services for Mrs. Lorene Grigsby, 59, of Lake Charles were held at 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of the J. E. Hixson and Sons Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Services were also held at the First Baptist Church in Winnfield at 3 p.m. Monday. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Mrs. Grigsby, who died unexpectedly at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 1967 in the Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette, was a school teacher at Prien Lake Elementary School, a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Lake Charles and a former resident of Winnfield. Survivors include her husband, William Grigsby, Lake Charles; one son, William E. Grigsby, Lafayette; her mother, Mrs. Minter Gentry, West Monroe; three brothers, B. A. Gentry, West Monroe, H. A. Gentry, Monroe, and Haze Gentry, West Monroe; and one sister, Mrs. Venice Easterling, Monroe. Pallbearers were Cas Moss, Willard Harlan, Leo Sowers, Harper Terrill, Richard Heard, and Mack Bonnette.
