Funeral Services For Mrs. M. J. Gates In Alexandria Friday

Mrs. Mahuldah Jane Gates, 65 years of age, died at the home of her son, J. W.
Gates in Alexandria, at 6:45 a.m. Thursday, October 7, 1937.  The deceased is
survived by three sons: J. W. Gates of Alexandria, H. V. and S. H. Gates of
Houston, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Howard French, Dodson; four sisters, Mrs.
P. Branch of Montgomery; Mrs. Z. Z. Pepper, Mrs. J. Smith, and Mrs. J. H.
Siommons of Sikes, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held from her son's residence, Alexandria, at 10 a.m.
Friday, Oct. 8, with the Rev. E. E. Colvin, pastor of the Cavalry Baptist
Church, officiating.  Interment will be made in the Friendship Cemetery.
