She was a native of Cloutierville in Natchitoches Parish. Survivors include her husband, Asa Guin of Montgomery; four sons, Herschel W. Guin of Crowley, Vernon L. Guin of Rayville, Robert L. Guin and Lisso L. Guin, both of Montgomery; three daughters, Mrs. Opal G. Bryant of Montgomery, Mrs. Earlene G. Davis of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Jarlene G. Bettevy of Carthage, Texas; one brother, Robert Self of Cloutierville; five sisters, Mrs. Raleigh Williams and Mrs. Charles Williams, both of Natchitoches, Mrs. Antoine Dalme, Mrs. Gilbert Hernandez, Mrs. Hertzog Deloach, all of Cloutierville, 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday in the Hargis Baptist church at Montgomery. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Hixson Bros. Funeral Home of Alexandria.
