Granddaughter of C. C. Allen Dies From Pneumonia

Miss Bernice Gunn, 22 year of age, died from pneumonia at her home in
Greenwell Springs, La., Saturday of last week, and was buried at the Allen
family cemetery several miles east of Winnfield Sunday afternoon.  Rev. Henry
Lewis and Rev. J. A. McMurry were in charge of the services.

Miss Gunn, who is a former resident of Winnfield was the daughter of Mr. Bill
Gunn and the late Mrs. Lizzie Allen Gunn.  She is the granddaughter of Mr.
Columbus C. Allen of Winnfield, and has numerous relatives and friends in this
parish.

Surviving are her father, Port Arthur, Texas, and one sister, Miss Blanche
Gunn of Plaquemine, La.

Among the relatives attending the last rites were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cox of
Rodessa, La.
