Gunn, 86, Dies at Home of Son In Joyce Sunday Mrs. C. G. Gunn died at the home of her son, O. C. Gunn in Joyce, April 29th, 1929 at 1:30 p.m. Mrs. Gunn had reached the ripe age of seventy six, having been born at Van Buren, Missouri, March 8, 1953. She was the mother of eight children and a host of grandchildren. Two of her sons live in Louisiana, W. C. at Hutton and O. C. at Joyce. The others are in Missouri. Her maiden name Miss Amanda Condry. She was married Jan. 22, 1871 and at the timer of her death had been married more than fifty eight years. She and her good husband, Mr. G. C. Gunn, were on a visit to their son when she died. She was buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery on April 30, 1929 with the Revs. C. C. Wier and E. V. Duplantis officiating and reading the ritual of the Methodist Church, of which she had been a member for sixty years. This lifelong Christian was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her loved ones and friends. Most of her children are residents of Missouri.
