Herman Gorham, Local Business Man, Succumbs

Herman Edward Gorham, 60, of Winnfield, died at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, April 3,
1969, in a Winnfield hospital.  He was a lifelong resident here.

He is survived by a son, Johnny Gorham, and a daughter, Carolyn Gorham, both
of Winnfield; three brothers, Julius Gorham and John Robert Gorham, both of
Winnfield, and Howard Gorham of Calvin; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Edmonds of
Winnfield, Mrs. Aliene Curry of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Louise Maxwell of Tioga.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Laurel Heights Baptist Church
with Revs. C. C. Martin, W. R. Gage, and Henry Mott officiating.

Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under direction of Hixson
Brothers Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Pallbearers were Jack Henderson, Bill Henderson, Don Walsh, Norman Johnson,
John Gibson, and Norman Smith.
