Smith's Sister Dies in Paris, Texas, Thurs., July 11 Mrs. O. L. Gunter, 30 years of age of Lilly, La., died at the home of her mother, Mrs. J. L. Hooper, in Paris, Texas, Thursday, July 11th, following an illness of four months duration. Funeral services were held July 12, 1935 at Minter, Texas. Mrs. Gunter will be remembered in Winnfield as Miss Pauline Hooper. She was a graduate of the Winnfield High School and the Louisiana Normal College, and resided in Gaars Mill Community about three years ago. She is survived by her husband, O. L. Gunter, and a small daughter, Carolyn, of Lilly, La.; mother, Mrs. J. L. Hooper of Paris, Texas; six sisters, Mrs. W. L. King, Purcell, Okla.; Mrs. J. W. Skelton, Birmingham, Ala.; Mrs. J. W. Shipp, Texarkana, Texas; Misses Amanda and Johnnie Hooper, of Paris, Texas, and Mrs. C. L. Smith of Winnfield. Mrs. Smith was at the bedside of her sister a week before she died. Mr. Smith, Charles Hooper, and Helen Smith attended the funeral services and were accompanied by Mrs. Smith.
