Mae Garner

Services for Miss Mae Garner of Route 1, Montgomery, La., were at 2 p.m.
Sunday, February 23, at Mount Zion United Methodist Church in the Wheeling
Community near Montgomery with the Rev. Roy Moore officiating.  Burial was
in the Mt. Zion Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of
Winnfield.

Miss Garner, 89, died at 2 p.m. Friday, February 22, 1991 at Parkview Guest
Care Center in Winnfield.

She was born October 3, 1901, daughter of the late John E. and Mattie Hallmark
Garner.  She was a member of the Mount Zion Methodist Church and a member of
the church's Methodist Women's missionary group.

Miss Garner was a retired lunchroom employee with 17 years service at Atlanta
High School in Winn Parish.

Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews, including a local niece,
Mrs. Betty G. Collier of Winnfield.
