Grady Holmes, 67, Succumbs; Rites In Urania

Funeral services for Grady B. Holmes, 67, of Urania, were held Friday at 2:30
p.m. at the Urania Baptist Church with the Revs. Jack Baucaum, Coda Salter,
and Aubrey Beluman officiating.

Burial was in the Pine Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Holmes died Wednesday, March 21, 1973 at his residence of an apparent
heart attack.

He was a gauger for Placid Oil Co., of Dallas, Tex., a Mason, and a member of
the Eastern Star and Urania Baptist Church.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Molly Moore Holmes, Urania; two daughters,
Mrs. Jean Blazer, Urania, and Mrs. Jo Hartman, Tullos; a sons, Edward Holmes
of Olla; two sisters, Mrs. Lessie Hemphill of Tullos and Mrs. Aro Blake, Olla;
a brother, Clayton Holmes, Tullos, and 11 grandchildren and six great
grandchildren.
