Mrs. S. A. Haidison Dies At Bernice Saturday, October 3

Mrs. S. A. Haidison, mother of C. O. Garriss, died Saturday, October 3, at the
home of her son, W. C. Garriss, at Bernice.  She was 87 years old and had been
sick about four days when death claimed her.  The deceased came to Louisiana
from Alabama, her native state, in 1875.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Lee Smith and interment was made
in the Zion Hill Cemetery near Farmerville Sunday afternoon at four o'clock.

She is survived by three sons, C. O. Garriss of Winnfield, W. C. Garriss,
Bernice, and A. N. Garriss, Pineville; one brother, R. R. Pace of LaVerne,
Ala.

Those attending the funeral from here were: Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Porter, Mr. and
Mrs. E. C. Garriss, Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Garriss, and Mr. and Mrs. C. O.
Garriss.
