T. Haigler of Dodson, was killed Wednesday afternoon of last week as the result of a plane crash, which occurred in the vicinity of Jacksonville, Fla., during a rain squall. The pilot also was killed in the wreck. Haigler was a seaman, first class, and a fine young man, and his untimely passing was a great shock to a host of relatives and friends. Some time ago he enlisted with the Air Service. Haigler is survived by his mother, Mrs. J. T. Haigler of Dodson; Hubert and Harold Haigler of Shreveport; Glen and Jack Haigler of Houston; Paul of Springhill; Arnold of Minden; Mrs. Brown of Jonesboro, Mrs. Beasley of Crossett, Ark.; and Miss Ruth Haigler of Lubbock, Texas. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Gansville Baptist Church with Rev. John Kitchingham, pastor of the Columbia Baptist Church having officiated. Interment was in the Gansville Cemetery.
