All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: October 17, 1979 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Services Thursday for Winn Broadcaster Funeral services for Edward Randall Hall, 56, of 302 Virginia Avenue, Winnfield, La., a prominent Winnfield citizen and radio broadcaster for the past 25 years will be held Thursday, October 18, 1979, at 10:30 a.m. in First United Methodist Church with Reverends Grayson B. Watson, W. R. Gage, and Charles Haley officiating. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery on Highway 84, West of Winnfield. Hall died Tuesday, October 16, 1979 at 7:15 a.m. in Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport, Louisiana after a lengthy illness. Born in Crossett, Arkansas on April 5, 1923, the son of the late Jesse H. and Estelle Atkins Hall, Edward Hall purchased Radio Station KVCL in October, 1958 and has been a continuous resident of Winnfield since that time. He was a member of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), a member of Eastern Star Masonic Lodge No. 151 F. & A. M., a member of the Winnfield Rotary Club, past president of the Winn Parish Chamber of Commerce, and treasurer of the local chapter of Salvation Army. In World War II, he served as a pilot in the China-Burma Theater, receiving the Distinguished Flying Cross for meritorious service. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Betty Reynolds Hall, and one son, Edward Hall, Jr., both of Winnfield; and three brothers, Jesse H. Hall of Cleveland, Ohio, John A. Hall of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Richard D. Hall of North Little Rock, Arkansas.
