Funeral services were held at the Southern Funeral Home Tuesday, 10 a.m. for John Hall, 61, who succumbed as a result of pneumonia Monday morning. Rev. H. H. McBride and Rev. Alwin Stokes officiated. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harper Terrill, Curtis Austin, Cecil Holstead, Homer Parker, Ready Blair, and E. J. Buchanan. Mr. Hall has been cutting meat in Winnfield for many years. At several different times he was in business for himself. At the time of his death he was employed as butcher for Milam's Department Store. He was born and reared in Natchitoches Parish. Surviving Mr. Hall are a sister, Mrs. J. H. McBride, Sr. of Natchitoches; two nephews, George Black and J. W. Black; and two nieces, Mrs. Ida Scarborouth and Mrs. Alice Smith, Texas.
