F. Halstead Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Wright Halstead, who died Thursday afternoon, December 20, were conducted on December 22 at the home of her mother, Mrs. Olive Wright, in Winnfield. Mrs. Halstead, wife of H. F. Halstead, succumbed in the Baptist Hospital after an illness of more than two years. She had lived in Winnfield all her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She leaves her husband, her mother, three sisters, Mrs. Net Grigsby and Mrs. Eula Ezell, Winnfield, and Mrs. F. W. Keefe, St. Louis, Mo.; three brothers, R. B. Wright, John W. Wright, and Foust Wright of Winnfield. Rev. H. H. McBride, First Baptist Church, and Rev. Alwin Stokes, Presbyterian Church, officiated at the funeral services. Miss Mae Beville had charge of music. Burial was in Winnfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were J. C. Corley, Louis Sholars, Gamble Carter, Herbert Bass, and L. C. Carter, all of Winnfield, and James Gimber of Hodge. Among those attending from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. James Gimber, Hodge; Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Coopender, Homer; Mrs. R. W. Davis, Ruston; Mrs. D. W. Harrell, Shreveport; Margaret Grigsby, Alexandria; Dr. and Mrs. G. S. Long, Pineville, La.; Mrs. Annie Ray, Mrs. Lola Cappell, Alexandria; Mrs. J. C. Shows, Jonesboro; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Long, Jr., Natchitoches; Mrs. Gilbert Henderson, Pineville; Mrs. Dennis Bocock, Mrs. Siney Whitecotton, Shreveport; Mr. and Mrs. Allen Halstead, Ruston; Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Halstead, Miss Corrine Halstead, and Mrs. Johnson, Monroe.
