All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: March 22, 1928 Winn Parish Enterprise William Manning Hall William Manning Hall, better known as "Sully" to his many friends, died on Friday evening, March 16, at 3 o'clock, at his camp in the Pleasant Hill Community, from a sudden attack of acute indigestion. Mr. Hall was born in Illinois on March 19, 1872 being 56 years, 6 days old at the time of his death. He was married to Miss Mabel Greenwood in 1899. To this union were born twelve children, ten of whom survive him. These are Mrs. Mattie Hyde, Mrs. C. R. Thurmon, of Bernice; Misses Edna, Myrtle, Elaine, and Lillie V. Hall, and Henry, George, John, and Jimmy Hall. He also had three grandchildren. He was part owner as well as foreman of the McKeithen Construction Company. Funeral services were conducted at the First Baptist Church on March 17, at 3 o'clock, by Rev. J. A. McMurry, a lifelong friend of the deceased. He was laid to rest with Masonic honors in Winnfield Cemetery. Out of town relatives and friends attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Thompson of Bernice; Mr. and Mrs. J. W. McKeithen of Grayson; Mr. Lamor and Miss Lora Bell McKeithen of Grayson; and Mr. and Mrs. McDermot and daughter.
