Halphen Services for Samuel J. Halphen, 51, of Atlanta, were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charlie R. White, Sr. officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield. Mr. Halphen died Sunday, June 10, 1979 in Highland Hospital, Shreveport, after a long illness. He was a retired Senior Master Sgt. in the U. S. Air Force. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jean Halphen of Atlanta; two sons, Ken M. Halphen and Samuel J. Halphen, both of Bossier City; two daughters, Mrs. Diane Hanson of Atlanta and Sheree Halphen of Bossier City; a brother, Dewey Halphen of Opelousas; a sister, Mrs. Joyce Thibodeaux of Opelousas; and three grandchildren.
