Mrs. Hammons was a native of Winn Parish. Survivors include one son, H. Glen Hammons of New Orleans; one daughter, Beth Hammons Robinson of Houston; three brothers, Homer Bartley of New Orleans, Bryant Bartley of Winn Parish, and Bowman Bartley of Georgetown; three sisters, Alma Speaks and Beulah Speaks, both of Georgetown; and Rhonda Porter of Moultrie, Ga.; and four granddaughters. Services were at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Hixson Bros., Pineville; with the Rev. J. A. Allen officiating. Graveside services were at 1 p.m. and burial was in Jordan Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were W. R. Crawford, Joe Cummings, W. B. Levinson, and Walt Chance. Honorary pallbearers were were Lee Slater and Jewel Holsomback.
