Last Rites For Enoch Hamilton, Colored Resident

Enoch Hamilton, 72 year old Negro resident of Winnfield, died October 22 in a
local hospital following a stroke.

Funeral services were held October 25 at Morning Star Baptist Church with
the pastor, Rev. H. Y. Bell, officiating.  Burial was in St. John Cemetery
near Chestnut.

The deceased was a native of Chestnut and had lived here 36 years.  He is
survived by two brothers, Ezekiel and Watts Hamilton, both of Chestnut; three
daughters, Edna Taylor of Winnfield, Lessie Hobdy and Louise Hamilton, of
Houston, Texas; two sons, Ben and Edward Hamilton, of Winnfield.
