Wiley Hammons Funeral services for Henry Wiley Hammons, age 63, who died in a local hospital Wednesday morning, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the First Baptist Church. Dr. W. L. Holcomb, pastor, assisted by the Rev. Grafton Shaw, will officiate and burial will be in the Harmony Grove Cemetery. Born at Gaars Mill, Mr. Hammons has lived his entire life in Winn Parish. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his wife, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Columbus Hammons of Dodson, and four brothers, Franklin Hammons, Ernest Hammons, and Juston Hammons, of Dodson, and Elvin Hammons of Winnfield. No. 2 Last Rites Held Oct. 28 For Henry Wyley Hammons Funeral services for Henry Wyley Hammons, age 63, who died in a local hospital Wednesday morning, October 27, were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the First Baptist Church with Dr. W. L. Holcomb, pastor, and the Rev. W. D. McDaniel officiating. Burial was in the Harmony Grove Cemetery. Born at Gaars Mill July 12, 1891, Mr. Hammons had lived his entire life in Winn Parish. He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include his wife, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Columbus Hammonds, of near Dodson; and four brothers, Franklin, Ernest, and Juston, of near Dodson, and Elvin of Sikes. Pallbearers were members of the American Legion: Ernest Melton, Rudolph Foster, R. C. Burns, Dalton Martin, Hiram Wright, Eli Harrell, Bill Roberts, and Bobby Joe King.
