L. Hammond Dies; Rites Held Sunday, Nov. 27 Clyde L. Hammond, 76, retired courthouse custodian, died in a local nursing home Friday, November 25, 1966, after a lengthy illness. funeral services were in the Southern Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Dr. W. L. Holcomb officiating. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. Survivors are six sons, Iris L., of Petersburg, Va., Leo of Tulsa, Okla., Aubrey J., of Monroe, Cloyce, of Leesville, Sgt. Tony A., of Viet Nam, and Dewey, of Winnfield; a daughter, Mrs. Edwin L. Poole of Winnfield; a brother, Luther E. of Alexandria; a sister, Mrs. Lee Barnette of Winnfield; 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild. pallbearers were James Watts, Harold Porter, Lewis Jenkins, Robert Baker, Roy James, and Edward Parker.
