Last Rites Held For Mrs. Hammons At Harmony Grove

Mrs. C. J. (Aunt Lula) Hammons, 88 years and 11 months of age, died at her
home in the Gaars Mill Community Sunday after a long illness.  She was a
lifelong resident of that area.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Harmony Grove Baptist Church
with the Rev. Louis Moffett and the Rev. E. B. Barton officiating.  Burial was
in the church cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home.

Survivors are four sons, Franklin, Justin, and E. R. Hammons of Dodson, and E.
J. Hammons of Sikes; two brothers, S. T. Fox of Winnfield and J. L. Fox of
Alexandria; six sisters, Mrs. Etha Pepper of Alexandria, Mrs. B. F. Pearce of
Laredo, Texas, Mrs. Viola Stroud of Sikes, Mrs. H. H. Smith of Winnfield, Mrs.
Lena Adams and Mrs. G. W. Price of Dodson; eight grandchildren and nine great
grandchildren.
