G. F. Hammons, Gaars Mill Area Man Dies May 31st

George Franklin Hammons, 71 year old resident of the Gaars Mill Community,
died here May 31 after a brief illness.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 2, in the Harmony Grove Baptist
Church with burial in the church cemetery under direction of the Southern
Funeral Home.

Rev. Arlie Bratton and Rev. Lewis Moffett conducted services.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Edgar of Monroe and Charles of Dodson; two
brothers, Elvin and Justin Hammons of Sikes; four grandchildren and two
great grandchildren.
