WINNFIELD, LOUISIANA  - Mrs. Nettie L. Hand, 80, of Winnfield died
Thursday, July 1, 1999, in Winn Parish Medical Center.
She was a native of Winnfield and a homemaker.  She was a member of
South Winnfield Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Drayton Hand of Winnfield; one daughter,
Gloria Hand Boyce of Austin, Texas; one stepdaughter, Patsy Phillips of
Midland, Texas; four brothers, Walter Speed of Winnfield, James Speed of
Las Vegas, Nev.,  Veldon Speed of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Wallace Speed
of Beuna Vista Park, Calif.; four sisters, Loretta Howard and Hollis
Johnson, both of Winnfield, Myrtle Huey of Choudrant and Ruth Dorn Of
Lincoln, Neb.; eight grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren.
She was laid to rest in Corinth Tabernacle Cemetery, Winn Parish,
Louisiana.
She was the wife of the late Felix Cody Hand.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Taylor, Bob Taylor, Eugene Hand, C. H. Hand,
Rayford Chandler and Guy Speed.
Honorary Pallbearers were Charles Bice, C. W. Jones and Dr. George
Rodgers.
