I. Hand At Rochelle Last rites for Rardon Ira Hand, 64, who died suddenly at his son's home in Pineville, Monday morning, August 14, were held at the Baptist Church, Rochelle, La., at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Dr. E. O. Wood of Pineville officiating. Interment followed in the Georgetown Cemetery under the direction of Edmond's Funeral Home. For the past six months Mr. Hand's health had been failing but his death came as a distinct shock to his many relatives and friends. He had made his home with his sister here, Mrs. Wilson Curry, for a year and a half. Mr. Hand was born in Winn Parish February 7, 1874. At an early age he became a member of the Baptist Church and was superintendent of the Sunday school in Rochelle for many years. He was married to Miss Fannie Cook who preceded him in death a year and seven months ago. To this union four children were born, two of whom survive. They are Hubert Hand, Pineville, La., and Mrs. Clarence Lumpkin, Fresno, Calif., and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Susan Lafollette, Olla, Mrs. Ed Hemphill, Zion, Mrs. Wilson Curry, Winnfield, Mrs. Mack Brown, Clarks, Mrs. Jasper Blackshear, Rochelle, L. M. Hand, Monroe, F. C. Hand, Camp Murray and Howard Hand, Pleasant Hill.
