11 Year Old Son Of Former Resident Dies

J. H. Hankins, 11 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jarrott Hankins of Hankins
Community near Coushatta, La., died at his home Friday after a three weeks
illness, diagnosed with leukemia.  His mother, who is the former Ruth Mixon,
and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse J. Mixon, of Natchitoches, were at
one time residents of Winnfield.

Funeral services for the deceased were conducted by Rev. Wilbur Brown at the
Fairview Alpha Church near Coushatta and interment was made in the cemetery
there.

Winnfield citizens who attended the funeral were Mrs. W. H. Williams, burton
Williams, Margaret Williams, Mrs. Willie Gaar, and P. K. Abel.
