All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: April 9, 1975 Winn Parish Enterprise News-American Mrs. Harris, 84, Succumbs; Rites March 20 Mrs. Victoria Page Harris, a longtime resident of Winnfield, died on March 15, 1975 in a local hospital at the age of 84. During the year of 1923 she became a member of the New Zion Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until death. Her memories, her thoughts and her faithful deeds were soul inspirations to her church. She was better known as "Mamma Page". She is survived by seven children: two sons, Ivory Page of Shreveport, and James Page of San Jose, California; five daughters, Mrs. Herman Lee Glynn of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Mercedes Broudy, Mrs. Melvory Pearrie, Miss Doretha Page, Mrs. Ethel Mae Durham, all of Winnfield. She also had one daughter, the late Mrs. Nettie Caesar, who preceded her in death, and one step-daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Hardy, four sisters, also one half-sister. She leaves 32 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren, one God-child, Raymond Moore, and many nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends. A funeral service for her was held on Thursday, March 20, 1975 at New Zion Baptist Church with the Rev. F. J. Jackson officiating. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery.
