O. Harrison, a widow living in South Winnfield, was burned to death here Thursday. The mother had been called across the street to attend a sick neighbor, and had left her small children, one about six years old, little Ernest, aged four, and one about two years old, playing about a room in which was burning an open wood fire. The children were playing "horses," when the little fellow fell into the blaze and was burned about the face and body so badly that he lived only about two hours. One of the neighbors, a Mrs. Johnson, happed to be passing the door and on hearing the children's outcries, stopped to see what was the matter, when she found the little fellow's clothing in a blaze.
