Essie Harper of Crowville Dies Monday in N. O.

Word was received here this week of the death of Miss Essie Harper, of
Crowville, who passed away in New Orleans Monday morning.  She was about 50
years old.

Funeral services were to be held in Crowville on Tuesday.  Miss Harper was the
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Harper, who lived in Winnfield in the
early 1900s.  She was the niece of the late S. J. Harper of Winnfield.

She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Sibbie Durham and Mrs. Inez Streetman
of Monroe, and Miss Alma Harper of Crowville; four brothers, Dewitt, Lymon,
and Ansel Harper, all of Crowville, and Manuel Harper of Mangham.
