Harrell Tuesday Mrs. Alma Wright Harrell, 54, wife of Douglas W. Harrell of New Orleans, died in a local clinic at 2:15 a.m. Monday morning, June 9. Funeral services were held from the Dr. Roy Wright residence in Winnfield at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning, with the Rev. H. H. McBride, officiating, assisted by Rev. Alwin Stokes and Rev. Fred S. Flurry. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Harrell is survived by her widower, Douglas W. Harrell of 7906 Plum Street, New Orleans; two sisters, Mrs. E. B. Harrell of DeQuincy, La., and Mrs. Florence Dalton of Winnfield; three brothers, J. D. Wright and W. H. Wright of Baton Rouge and Dr. Roy Wright of Winnfield. Pallbearers were W. H. Wright, Jr., Baton Rouge; Cleburn Dalton, Winnfield; Joe Harrell Elston and David Elston, McDade; Oscar Carlston of DeQuincy, and Cline Hanchey of Lake Charles. Mrs. Harrell was born in Winnfield on May 15, 1892 and was a daughter of the late Hames and Sarah Alice Long Wright. Mr. and Mrs. Harrell had resided in New Orleans for a number of years. She had been in ill health for some time.
