W. Hardin Sunday, July 29 Mrs. J. W. Hardin, 68, died at her home in Laurel Heights Sunday, July 29, 1945, after an illness of three weeks duration. Funeral services were held Mondy afternoon at the Selma, La. Baptist Church with Judge Cas Moss officiating. Interment was in the Rakestraw Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers. Acting as pallbearers were I. Fogger, C. C. Parker, Dave McCartney, Harper Terrill, Dave White, and Ebb Machen. Mrs. Hardin was born and reared in the Selma, La., community and had been making Winnfield her home for the past eight years. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She leaves one son, 1st Sgt. James A. Hardin, with the Armed Forces in France; three daughters, Mrs. W. E. Mitchell, Monroe, and Mrs. Palma Creed and Mrs. Pamye Creed, of Winnfield.
