McDonald Dies In Mobile, Ala. News came to Winnfield this week of the death of Mrs. Cassa Lou McDonald Harris in Mobile, Ala., where she had been residing for the past 27 years. She was a native of Winnfield and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. McDonald. Mrs. Harris was prominently known in Mobile for her social, civic, and religious activities. In 1969, she made a nine week tour of Africa as a representative of the United Presbyterian Church of America. A television personality in the early days of TV in Mobile, Mrs. Harris had her own television program. She taught speech and English at Bolton High School in Alexandria, before going to Mobile, and she also taught in Winnfield for six years. She is survived by two sons, one of Atlanta, Ga., and one of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two brothers, Lt. Col. J. G. McDonald, Florida, and A. L. McDonald, Jena, and other relatives.
