Interment At Pollock Miss Susan A. Hargis, age 74, member of one of the pioneer families of Winn Parish died at the home of her nephew, I. A. Hargis at Pineville Sunday morning at six o'clock. The deceased was the daughter of Dr. Quincy A. Hargis who was a prominent physician of Winnfield and who did much toward the early progress of this section. "Miss Susie" as she was know in Winnfield had made her home here at different times moving the last time from here to Natchitoches, later making her home with her nephew at Pineville. A devout member of the Methodist Church, Miss Susie was very active in her denomination until her health failed a few years ago. She is survived by one brother, A. J. Hargis, Natchitoches, and two sisters, Mrs. Ioda Terrell, Shreveport, and Miss Kate Hargis, Columbia. Funeral services were held at the First Methodist Church in Pineville Monday afternoon at one o'clock and interment was made in the family cemetery at Pollock.
