Eugene Love and the Rev. Dean Hedrick officiating. Burial was in Goldonna Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Miss Harris died at 7 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 1974 in a local hospital after a long illness. A retired school teacher, Miss Harris was a native of Goldonna. Survivors include four brothers, C. M. Harris of Mt. Home, Ark., Earl Harris and T. E. Harris, both of Goldonna, and W. A. Harris, Jr., of Cottonport; three sisters, Mrs. Lula Easley of Natchitoches, Mrs. Audrey Oliphant of Houston, Texas, and Mrs. Lillian Montgomery of Goldonna; two stepsisters, Mrs. Mattie Brewton of Goldonna and Mrs. Laura McFarland of Jackson, Mississippi; and a number of nieces and nephews. Miss Harris was the sister of the late T. H. Harris, State Superintendent of Education.
